What will be your legacy? For most people, that's not an easy question to answer. Some will mention their children, while others will bring up an accolade or a job well done.
Unfortunately, most people only think about their legacy when their life is coming to an end. By then, it's usually too late to change the story.
Guess what? There's no special day that makes up your legacy. No, this amazing reminder that you changed the world is being made in every second of your existence. From the smallest acts of kindness to the greatest leaps forward, there's nothing that isn't included.
You might be reading this with a heavy heart. It's easy to look at your current life and feel hopeless. Honestly, we all have those thoughts from time to time. When we give in to them and let our lives slip away, that's really when we can feel lost. That's why I'm asking you to consider your legacy today.
If something in your life is not what you thought it would be, change it. Of course, sometimes it's just not that easy. When those situations consume us, don't give up. Make your legacy shine among even the darkest moments. Believe me, no one remembers the small failures. Instead, they remember someone who tried, who didn't give up in the face of adversity.
Addressing your legacy is easier than you might think. Take the time to map out the things you would like in your legacy. If something doesn't go according to what you'd planned, take a step back and turn it into an advantage. Not everything is doom and gloom. Consider there might be moments that turn out far better than you had hoped for. By being flexible with your dreams and goals for a successful legacy, you are open to changing it for the better.
