Re-Program Your Mind to Achieve More!
Today, I'm going to ask you to do something that may seem a little foreign to many of you out there. I want you to put down your cell phone, turn off your tablet, and get out a piece of paper and a pen. Yes, that's right, I want you to physically write some things down...and I don't mean type them in!
Did you know studies have found that when you write something down it becomes more real to your mind. That is the real subject for this week: reprogramming your mind to achieve greater success.
The human mind is a wonderful thing. With all the technological advancements that man has made, the one thing that scientists will tell you is that they still can't come close to the processing power found in our brains. Even with all the talk about "Artificial Intelligence", all that they have achieved so far comes closer to a guinea pig's brain than to a human's.
Where there is similarity, though, is that the machine only operates as well as its programming, and you can re-program your brain for success...you just have to learn how to do it properly!
Most of us, regardless of our age, will likely remember when a book called "I'm Ok, You're OK" was a best seller. I know it sounds kind of far-fetched now, but people were instructed to stand in front of their bathroom mirror and repeatedly tell themselves, "I'm OK, You're OK". At the time this book was released, this was extremely popular for one very simple reason: It got worthwhile results and was an easy way to reinforce the value of self and others.
So, how do you program your own mind?
First, as I have stressed in the past, you need to carefully monitor your internal dialog and those external things you allow to enter your world. Everything you see and hear influences your thinking, whether you intend for it to or not. In other words, you are constantly taking in information, both consciously and unconsciously.
Next, write down positive, action-oriented things you can commit to intentionally manifesting. As I said in the beginning, this is very powerful advice. To develop this manifesting list, you have to think about it, then write it, and then you should read what you write as you move through each day! This will input positive thought into your brain three times.
My challenge for you this week:
Employ the following mind programming tool.
Get a notebook and use it to start a manifestation journal.
Write down the positive things that you have achieved or have influenced you.
Write down the things you will do in the future. Don't use words like want or may -- these words imply doubt. You want to be strongly positive, so use sentence starters like I will, I shall, I have.
Track your movement on these things by making journal entries on a daily or weekly basis.
The progress you will see as a result of following these steps will be a real confidence booster! The moment you stop the effort to consciously track your progress, you will see a turnabout in progress. Yes, structure and discipline are key elements to manifesting positive things.
