Are You Ready for This Moment?

Happy New Year! It's 2019 and I'm here to tell you that every second, minute, and hour of this year is a gift. Use them to reach your goals, conquer obstacles, and remove those doubts that linger in the back of your mind.

  

I know what you're thinking. You'll say: "Glenn, my problems are something you can't even imagine." 

 

To that I say, you're wrong! 

 

There's nothing on this Earth that hasn't occurred before. I guarantee that the situation you're facing today may seem like the end of the world, but someone else is going through the same thing.

  

So, how do you find the moment and stay in it? It's simple. Just follow these surefire steps and start enjoying your life now, instead of later.

   

1. Worry On Schedule

We take time to schedule every part of our lives, so it only makes sense that we book an appointment with our worries. Take thirty minutes out of each week to deal with what is bothering you. Write about it, sing about it, but whatever you do, just face it head on. When time's up, leave the worries behind. You'll be surprised how freeing it can be once the first session is over.

   

2. Move Through the Moment

Literally exercise those bad memories and current issues away. Go for a walk or run, lift weights, swim in the local pool, or meditate in the living room, the choice is yours. I've seen it work time and time again. That rush that comes from exercise will leave even the most stressful situation behind.

   

3. Phone A Friend (Or Family Member)

When we're going through something, it's easy to feel embarrassed or nervous about what other people might say. Don't let that stigma stay with you. Call, email, or visit someone you trust. Talk to them about what is on your mind. I know that you will be met with love, understanding, and hope.

   

Worrying doesn't change the past or the future. I want you to live in the now. Enjoy the moment we've been given!

 

My challenge for you this week:

 

Prepare for and live in the moment.

  1. Identify and mark your schedule with a weekly time to identify and address your primary worries.

  2. Commit to a 20-minute daily regimen where you engage in a spiritual, mental, or physical well-being activity.

  3. Make a list of people you know and the type of issue you feel confident they can provide support.
